Series Theme:
The Series is called 'Hibernation Dream'. Over the years I developed a fascination for creatures that were able to hide away for the cold season and reappear in spring. In what state of mind is an animal when they are in deep torpor.
Torpor is a state of decreased physiological activity in an animal, usually marked by a reduced body temperature and metabolic rate. Torpor enables animals to survive periods of reduced food availability.The term "torpor" can refer to the time a hibernator spends at low body temperature, lasting days to weeks, or it can refer to a period of low body temperature and metabolism lasting less than 24 hours, as in "daily torpor".
In my imagination I see them floating and drifting through imaginary worlds:
'Darkness, the feeling of falling before you slip into sleep. The scent of earth fades and starting to drift away until the snow melts floating in dreams. Wandering through unknown lands.'
